NCSSS Alumni Career Network

Members of the NCSSS Alumni Career Network have made themselves available to perspective MSW graduates and fellow alumni and provided them with the opportunity to learn about their educational experiences, their career path along with available professional opportunities within the social work arena. The goal of this network is to assist you with decisions you are currently facing or anticipate having to address at some point in the future. Alumni may also be able to answer very specific questions you have about:

  •     their profession
  •     professional associations to which they belong
  •     organizations in which they have worked
  •     the value of certain job search resources
  •     schools they have attended
  •     the job market
  •     professional accreditation/licensing examinations
  •     ways in which to network in their city

The process of acquiring information of this nature is commonly referred as an “information/referral meeting.” Information/referral meetings are initiated and driven by you for the purpose of gathering information on career area, a particular type of position, or an organization.  The intent is NOT to find you a job, but to assist you during this job search process. It hopefully will empower you as you develop and expand your network contacts.
