Dear NCSSS student,

 

You may have heard that April 3 is the annual NCSSS Job Fair.   CUA’s Career Services Office will have a “Resume Doctor” table at this event where you can stop by to have your resume critiqued.

 

If you’d like us to look at it prior to the event, there are several ways to go about doing that.  The quickest, most convenient way is to attach a WORD version of your resume to an email to our office (careers@cua.edu).  In the Subject line of your email, write “NCSSS resume critique.”  In the body of the email, you can include any specific questions you have and they types of positions/organizations on which you are focusing.  You can also bring your resume to us and drop it off with us.  We return critiqued resumes in 48 business hours.

 

If you are really struggling with your resume and want to discuss it, you can make an appointment (call 202-319-5623 or stop by 202 Pryzbyla Center).  This assistance, including job search planning, interviewing discussions and cover letter critiques, can take place after the fair as well.

 

One note of caution:  We are always busy at this time of the year, but due to the depressed job market, our undergraduate clientele have been using us at a record rate.  Thus appointment times are filled up quickly.  So please be understanding if the time you want isn’t available before the Fair.
