Biographical Information:

Christine Anlauf Sabatino, LICSW, DCSW, C-SSWS, has taught theory and practice courses in the Baccalaureate, Master and Doctoral Programs as well concurrent integrative field internship seminars, human behavior and the social environment, social work intervention with children and school social work practice. She has 33 years of social work practice as a clinical social worker, school social worker, practice and research consultant, and she has worked as the program director and clinical supervisor of a private inner-city school counseling program. 

She has served as a research associate for the National and Local Evaluation of Early Head Start, DHHS, and for CUA’s
National Research Center for Child and Family Services and the Community Development and Research Center.  She serves on the editorial board for Children & Schools and holds credentials as a certified school social worker and diplomate under the auspices of NASW.  She is a member of the Council of Social Work Education, the National Register for Clinical Social Workers, Society of Social Work Research, the NASW School Social Work Specialty Section and the American Association of School Social Workers.  She is a licensed independent clinical social worker in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Her research and scholarship have focused on school social work practice, the impact of federal policies on school social work, early intervention programs, research issues in school social work, homeless children and current trends and future directions in school of social work practice.
