Biographical Information:
Ms. Worrell joined NCSSS in 2008 as the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid. She heads the Admissions Committee that reviews all applications for admission to NCSSS and coordinates admissions and financial aid applications with the CUA Offices of Graduate Admissions and Financial Aid.
Before coming to NCSSS, Ms. Worrell managed two federally funded community-based programs to provide prevention and intervention services to at-risk adolescent girls and low-income couples. She also served as the Director of Operations for an alliance of national organizations concerned with the unmet needs of family caregivers. She has provided program and logistical support to the Children’s Bureau in managing the federally mandated child and family services reviews and title IV-E foster care eligibility reviews of state child welfare agencies. Previously, Ms. Worrell conducted evaluations of federally and foundation-funded programs in the areas of rural domestic violence, youth development and violence prevention, children’s mental health, and coalition building. Her prior clinical social work experience focused primarily on foster care and residential substance abuse treatment.
